Davinia and Indiana have been on Purina Pro Plan® Bright Mind Adult 7+® for the better part of a year now. Actually Saturday night will mark a year since their first taste of the food as a treat when I got back from Global Pet Expo. I remember their wagging tails and happy faces looking for more “treats”. We slowly switched over from their old food to the new food and they did fantastic.

A few weeks ago we were out and about early Saturday morning running errands. We went to the post office and the bank. The sky was cloudy and it was chilly but not cold and I decided that instead of coming straight home to check to see if there were a lot of people at the dog park. No one was there so I got the girls out of the car put their leashes on and walked the perimeter of the fence to make sure there were no holes in the fence. For little Senior Dogs walking the perimeter of the Small Dog area is a pretty big space maybe as big as the big dog area at the park we went to in Miami. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I took their leashes off to let them run around. They don’t run around our yard except after they have gone potty and want to go upstairs to have breakfast or a treat.
At first they stopped to sniff the grass and then went from tree to tree sort of taking their time and just enjoying being outside. They started to get further away from me so I followed them. The next thing I knew Indiana saw a bird and she took off after it and Davinia took off after her. Indiana was in full on hunting mode and was ready to get the bird. In all honestly I am not sure I have seen Indiana run that fast since she was a puppy she prefers for things to come to her. I happened to catch it on video!

They protest if it is the weekend and we don’t get into the car to go see grandma and grandpa after going out in the yard. Honestly though the most impressive part of the food in my opinion is that it contains the perfect amount of EPA and Glucosamine to keep their little bodies in tip top shape. The girls will run up and down the stairs multiple times a day even though I really don’t like it but they seem not really care. I love that this food includes all of the nutrients and supplements that Senior Dogs need in order to be their best.
