Davinia and Indiana’s Television Watching Secrets Revealed

Indiana Watching the Teletubbies Television Watching Secrets Revealed

Television Watching Secrets Revealed #1
Many years ago when Indiana was still a puppy I was home getting my MBA and friends asked if I could watch their little boy for the day. Davinia and Indiana love the little ones so I said yes. He brought some toys and stuff with him but I didn’t exactly have any movies for someone his age so while he was playing I turned on the tv and flipped it to a station that I thought might have Sesame Street on. No Sesame Street but Teletubbies were. The next thing I know Davinia and Indiana stopped what they were doing and got right up in front of the tv and sat there watching. Sure the dogs had shown interest in the tv when there was a knock on the tv door or animal planet was on and there were animal noises an they might have even come running if there was a lot of kitchen noise happening on Food Network but they never sat there mesmerized. At first I thought maybe they were showing the little boy that the show was fun an he should watch it but several days later when there was nothing special going on in the house I turned the television back to the station and Teletubbies were on and this time the girls came running all the way from the other side of the apartment.

– Teletubbies are our thing I still to this day will find a clip on Youtube and play it on the computer to watch their reaction. With the LG 4K TV I wonder if they would still be mesmerized or if Indiana would freak out because the little Teletubbies characters look so real.

Fireworks at Hong Kong Disney

Not our view. We saw it from behind andhad to look to the left where it was partially covered by the mountain.

Television Watching Secrets Revealed #2
The last time we had cable tv was when we lived in Hong Kong. I don’t know if we just ha a very minimal plan or what but pretty much the only thing I ever watched on tv over there was Nat Geo and National Geographics station. They were two separate stations with Nat Geo hosting the International version of National Geographics. It made for interesting an often educational TV viewing an of course lots of chances for the dogs to come running when there were wild animal sounds or dogs barking on the tv but it also made it easy when I got back to the US and cable was not in the budget not to go into TV withdrawal. The truth is with their very own view of Victoria Harbour from our balcony while at the same time bird watching they were pretty happy. Could their beloved teletubbies have gotten them to come in from the balcony when they were watching the fireworks from Hong Kong Disney every night I can’t say for sure. Maybe?

– A fireworks show on an LG 4K TV would be almost as amazing as getting to see the Fireworks at Hong Kong Disney every night. Ok probably better because we were not all that close to Disney and for the most part the booms were not that loud and the colors not vibrant from our vantage point. We did know when it was 8pm though. I really think Davinia and Indiana would probably love to watch a Fireworks show on an LG 4K TV.

Davinia Hard at Work at Grandma and Grandpas house Television Watching Secrets Revealed
Television Watching Secrets Revealed #3
I don’t like sharing rooms at hotels not because I don’t want to share but because it is a special treat to be able to do work on my computer and watch tv at the same time. But we don’t watch anything current because A I have no idea what day or time anything actually airs but because for the most part I am at least an episode or a season behind. The TV gets set to TNT or USA and I do work while Law and Order is playing in the background. With no cable I watch tv on the computer so at home or at Grandma and Grandpa Two Little Cavaliers if I am working that means no tv. TV happens LATE at night in bed and I try not to watch anything that I know is going to have dog barking or doorbells ringing because it is so late I don’t want Davinia popping her little head up and setting all of the neighborhood dogs off on a barking spree. That and the fact that at BlogPaws I am more like a tornado, hurricane, typhoon, tsunami, and earthquake. I wake up at 5:30am and don’t get back to the room until after midnight.

– I wonder if the BlogPaws Hotel will have upgraded their TVs by the time we get there in May to the LG 4K TV. I might need to book an extra day at the end so that I can stay in bed all day and watch tv if that is the case!

Television Watching Secrets Revealed #4
This is a big one. There are two times of the year that I regret not having cable. Only two. The first one just passed – Thanksgiving Day so that I can watch The National Dog Show. And the second is 2 Nights in February so that I can Watch Westminster. You can’t exactly “borrow” cable for 1 day and 2 nights. Indiana was a show dog when she was younger and we lived in NY. We didn’t have a long career or a particularly winning one (my fault not hers) but we did show and because of where we lived we showed against some of the best Cavaliers in the Country on a weekly basis. I am considering putting Indiana in the Ring as a Veteran at an upcoming show sort of as a one more time thing the judge they are bringing in is German and it is probably our best chance at one last walk around the Best in Breed Ring.

– How absolutely incredible would it be to get to watch The National Dog Show and Westminster on a LG 4K TV?! Honestly for viewing of the dogs it would be better then sitting in the seats at the Garden for Westminster. Sure they put that up on the big jumbo-tron thing but having this tv in the house. Wow! I would feel like I could reach out and touch the dogs right along with the judge!
