Inspire Us Tuesday - Sweet Tooth

Welcome back to Inspire Us Tuesday #12! Last week our party had 101 amazing links! We are so glad you have taken our idea to heart and continued to submit your inspiring posts with us each week. We cannot wait to see what you have to share with us this week!

PetSmart Halloween Fashion

We have a really awesome giveaway to share with you this week. We hope you will hop over and enter to win a $125 PetSmart gift card. We know this is supposed to be about Inspiration but we are talking about Sweet Tooth’s this week and PetSmart is like a Candy Store for pets o we figured it goes.

Sweet Tooth Alert!: I should never visit the links from the week before when I am really hungry and tired because I go for all the yummy looking sweets. Consider this fair warning; the features today will make your mouth water!

Winnish shared a scrumptious Honey-Date Syrup-Swiss Roll. This looks lovely and like a perfect after dinner sweet! Here in the US we don’t use dates that often in recipes but I really like them and I always like the things I get to taste that include date. Dates are sweet and satisfy a sweet tooth craving and desserts with them are generally a bit more on the savory side and not in your face sweet.

Pumpkin Pull Apart Bread by Growing Up Gabel would be a perfect addition to Thanksgiving Dinner this year. I made an Apple Cinnamon Pull Apart Bread a few weeks ago that turned out really well and was gone by the end of the weekend so I know a Pumpkin Version would be well received on Thanksgiving.

Whenever there is sweets involved it always leads to a craving for something hearty. Sweet Tooth yumminess followed by a hearty soup is the perfect combination. This Copy Cat Panera Broccoli Cheddar Soup recipe from Cincy Shopper sounds ideal accompaniment to Maple Cornbread Muffins from Yesterfood. This Copy Cat Panera Autumn Squash Soup from Simplee Thrifty would also pair well with the tasty cornbread muffins. I am going to be honest and say I have never had their soup in fact I think the only thing I have ever had from them is a drink during a meeting but I LOVE Broccoli Soup and Squash Soup is perfect for this time of year actually it sounds really good this morning too. Hearty, filling, sweet and savory all in one bowl. Ok I better stop before I run out of this hotel and try to find someone selling soup this early in the morning.

For dessert after your soup and corn bread Winnie from the Winnish Blog is tempting us a second time today with these drool-worthy Date Shortbread Cookies.

Did you know that dogs love pumpkin too? Don’t forget your pup this fall when you are baking all things pumpkin. Miley’s Daily Scoop has a recipe for Pumpkin Dog Bones that will make your 4 legged friend’s tail wag with delight.

Before I let you get on your way and add your own links to Inspire others I thought I would share a little bit about why I happen to be in a Hotel room in NYC at the moment. I am here for Purina #BetterwithPets Summit. It is the second year of the Summit which is Inspired by Ted Talks only all the talks given throughout the Summit are in some way about Pets, Keeping Pets Healthy, or the Human Animal Bond. The video above is how they opened the event last year so I can only imagine what they have in store for us this year. I am sure you will take away some Inspiration for your own life whether you have pets or not. Take a few minutes to watch the video. Oh and if you are on any Social Media Network follow the #BetterWithPets Hashtag throughout the day for a glimpse into the sessions!

If you were featured this week grab a button! We made sure our button was special and different so that you would be happy to grab it and show it off!
