1. DIY Doggy Mummy Costume
Take a plain doggie shirt and hot glue shredded canvas or shredded white fabric strips to it. You can just wrap the strips around the shirt, or create a pattern. Let a few fly free for a natural look. Slide the shirt on, wrap the paws if the dog allows it, and your mummy is ready to go.
2. DIY Doggy Princess Costume.
Sew or glue some pink tulle to an elastic strip to create a simple tutu. Add some glitter spray to the fur if your dog allows it, and of course paint her toenails. Find an inexpensive toy tiara at the local dollar store and attach it with elastic if the dog allows. What a pretty princess she will be.
3. DIY Doggy Flower Costume
Take felt and create large colorful flower petals. Glue or stitch the petals to a collar or piece of elastic that safely fits around the dog’s neck. You can even make some simple felt cuffs for the feet if your dog allows it. You now have the cutest flower you have ever seen.
4. DIY Doggy Super Hero Costume
Buy some fun shimmery fabric and cut it into a rectangle for a cape. Sew or glue the cape to some elastic or a collar that will fit comfortable around the dog. You can even embellish the cape with felt cut outs such as their initial or a lightning bolt.
