Adoptable Dogs and Cats Get Visit from Duchess Of Cornwall

dogs and cats get visit from Duchess of Cornwall

Camilla Duchess of Cornwall has long been a supporter though not an official patron of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. She was in attendance at the Grand Opening of the state of the art cattery 2 years ago and goes for regular visit and since then has gone back a number of times including her visits to pick up her two dogs. It seems from the video that she is equally comfortable with dogs and cats during her visit she has for many years kept small terriers.

Found abandoned in a public park at about four weeks old starving, shivering and suffering from a terrible skin condition – Bluebell Camilla’s second addition from the Battersea Dogs and Cats home didn’t have the best start in life. But that old life is in her past as she has become a very loved member of the royal household and constant companion to Camilla’s first rescue Beth also from Battersea. Bluebell and Beth are now VIP’s when they visit Battersea with Camilla like they did right before Christmas. Though other dogs and cats were pointed out to her during her visit it seems that for now Bluebell and Beth will not be getting a brother or sister.

Pet Blog Hop

Before I get into the rules and etiquette of the Pet Blog Hop I wanted to follow up on something I told you about last week. That big announcement from Pedigree. The 2013 Pedigree Feeding Project has officially launched (thank goodness I don’t have to keep that a secret any longer) and we have all the information you will need to know about how you can nominate your city town or even a specific shelter to receive a year’s worth of food for their shelter dogs! This is beyond huge and could save your shelter so much money which can then be used to market and promote the adoption of the well fed shelter dogs.

And then just because I was so happy I could finally tell everyone about the the big announcement from Pedigree I decided to do a little baking! Check out this post about how to make your own Blueberry Peanut Butter Dog Treats. Davinia and Indiana think your dogs will thank you for it!
