Stray Dogs Stuck in Snow Romania






Heavy snow and a severe cold snap have killed at least 36 people in Eastern Europe. Many areas are facing emergency snow situations schools have been shut down because roads have became impassible and power has failed. About 300 Hungry dogs and puppies cared for by an NGO near the Romanian capital of Bucharest received help from a dozen prison inmates who shoveled through several feet of snow today in order to unblock paths so that their care givers could get to the shelter to feed them. The prison inmates also helped clear paths so that the dogs could get out of their houses and run around the kennel area.
