Zynga’s Rooftop Dog Park and Pet Bloggers Blog Hop

Zynga’s headquarters will be moving to a new location. Not only that but they will be getting a number of improvements to quality of life for its employees. The most notable will be a rooftop dog park. Zynga employees are already able to bring their dogs to work, not a surprise when you realize the company was named after the founders bulldog.

While having the dogs at work is a great addition to the atmosphere as the company expanded so did the number of dogs coming to work everyday. It is to the point now that the dogs need some place to lay and have fun but their owners need to be at work so they can get everything done. It was the founder of Zynga who made the decision that the dogs needed their own special place in the hopes that it will keep everyone happy. But apparently not everyone is happy. It was reported that some are upset over the fact that the dog park will be taking away vital parking spaces from the company.

Do you work at a dog friendly company? Do you wish you could bring your pet to work with you?

  1. Hi Sam here from the blog hop! Thanks for soing such a great job!
What a great idea! Dogs and cats are so wonderful in the workplace!

OMD! That is ***AWESOME***! I work in Sales for a glass distributor, so a paw in the office would be a safety hazard – both for the the glass and for the dogs, but I would LOVE a job they could come to!

  3. Ooh, cute, thumbnail linky!

I’m lucky, I work at home, so I have my dogs at work with me all the time. Hubby takes Jasmine with him sometimes too, when he teaches heavy equipment. She is like his mascot. When he can’t take her they all ask where she is.

  4. Hi Y’all,

Since I’ve been with my Humans they work mostly from home. When they did have to go to offices they both have taken their dogs, but not on a regular basis.

My question, since heat is hard on a dog, doesn’t the rooftop get too hot?

Thanks for another Saturday Blog Hop.

    Great new look!

    Y’all come by now,
    Hawk aka BrownDog

  5. Pit Bulls and Patience says

I don’t know what I would do if my dogs couldn’t come to work with me. Technically, they go to doggie camp while I train, so they aren’t physically with me unless it’s for a nap in my office while I do paperwork. But still, they aren’t the “chill at home for 8 hours” type.

Stopping by on the blog hop – thanks for letting me know about the Pedigree donation. I work as a volunteer with the Etowah Valley Humane Society that got about 5-6 dogs from the Cartersville (GA) tornados. Hoss still needs a home….

Drop into my blog to see my latest video about the tornadoes.

  7. Thank you for hosting. I’m a follower, and this hop is found on a page on my site that lists more than 250 hops, memes, and photo challenges… some for each day of the week. Check under the header for the link to that page. I’ve also just started a BlogFrog community that focuses on hops, carnivals, memes, and photo challenges. Go to to visit & participate.
I hope you’ll visit me soon. I follow back!

I haven’t owned a dog in many years – but I truly love playing with the ones in our neighborhood 🙂 I think it’s fantastic that Zynga is being open to their dog-friendly workers. Good luck with your blog hop!

  9. Wow, what an impressive company! They do Take Your Dog to Work Day everyday, how great! Thanks for hosting yet another fab blog hop! Happy Saturday to you and yours!
