Help Raise Money For Dogs On Deployment

Dogs on Deployment is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit providing a central network for military members to find volunteers willing to board their pets while they are deployed or have other service commitments, making them unable to temporarily care for their pets. No pet should ever be surrendered to a shelter due to a military commitment. DoD exists to help military members keep their pets by alleviating the need for pet relinquishment from military members due to the hardships of deployments.

Dogs on Deployment was founded by husband and wife, Shawn and Alisa Johnson, who serve in the US Navy and US Marine Corps respectively. They started Dogs on Deployment in June 2011. As a dual-military family, the founders have been in situations where they needed a program like Dogs on Deployment. Alisa had orders to move to Quantico, Virginia where she was to attend six months of military training. At the same time, Shawn, was to be deployed. Neither could care for their beloved dog, JD. They were lucky enough to have family to rely on, but recognized the need for a program which would help others who found themselves in a similar situation. Thus, Dogs on Deployment was born.

Visit www.PureLoveForPets.com and follow the on-screen instructions to register for the program {don’t worry you can opt not to receive anything though you might miss out on some great coupons for food and treats and even if your ow pet doesn’t eat all of the products you can use the coupons and special deals to stock up for your local shelter or favorite rescue!). Once registered, you’ll be invited to play the Purina Pet Trivia Game. For each pet trivia question you answer correctly between 10/28/15 and 11/18/15, Nestlé Purina PetCare Company will donate 25¢ to support Dogs On Deployment, up to a maximum donation of $40,000.

Play Purina’s Pet Trivia daily. The daily maximum donation is based on answering the 5 daily questions correctly: each correct answer will trigger a $0.25 donation to Dogs on Deployment, up to a daily maximum donation of $1.25 per person/e-mail address per day. There will be 5 new questions served up daily so be sure to check back each day and play.

The program will begin at 12:00:01 p.m. ET on 10/28/15 and end at 11:59:59p.m. ET on 11/18/15, or when the maximum aggregate donation of $40,000 is reached, whichever comes first. If the maximum donation amount is reached prior to 11/18/15, you can continue to answer pet trivia questions for fun. However, correct response to each trivia question will no longer trigger a donation from Nestlé Purina PetCare Company when the maximum donation amount has been reached.
