Red and Black Mini Cooper Visits Mars Global Innovation Center
Red and Black Mini Cooper here again!
Wednesday morning I got to sleep in a little bit and then it was off to the Mars Global Innovation Center with my pedal to the metal. But first I got to pick up the VIP pre-ordered lunches. Apparently the restaurant people thought I was too small to be of any use but I showed them and got all 35+ meals and drinks to fit in nice and easily and managed to deliver everything successfully even with the driver and passenger seat taken. Take that restaurant people not every vehicle need to be a pick up truck to be useful!
Checking Out the MARS Global Innovation Center
The Mars Global Innovation Center is a state of the art facility that allows Mars Petcare to do just that – Innovate the world of Pet Care! There is very tight security not only at the front gate to get in but also with cameras and security personnel walking around in order to keep the Pet Associates safe.
From product creation in the test kitchen to R&D and Pet Associates this place has it all. The dogs and cats that call the Global Innovation Center Home are some very lucky babies. Their job is to literally let their caretakers know which food they like better. Along with getting to eat they get to play, learn, and go for walks around the facility. These dogs are so pampered the Mars Team made sure that all of the plants the dogs can sniff, dig at, and potentially decide to eat are safe for dogs. Their caretakers also teach them how to be well behaved dogs so that in a year or two when they are done working they know how to behave in a family environment.
The Cat Associates? They were pretty cool too. My owner got to watch as the cats went about their day. They were int he middle of Playtime when the group she was in went over to the Cat Center to visit. Each animal Associate has their own Employee ID badge has a caretaker whose entire job is to care for their room or pod. The cats were having so much fun they were literally bouncing off cat trees and over each other to play with the caretaker. The best part is that testing literally means picking between two foods and enjoying a meal that has already undergone strict safety and ingredient regulations. Oh and after the meal the caretaker weighs the outgoing (poo). When it comes to occasionally checking urine the cats and dogs are trained to go in a sterilized liter pan so that there is not even need of a Veterinarian to use a needle like they would if your pet went to the Vets office. Stress free happy Pet Associates is what it is all about and even better many were rescued from local Nashville Shelters so will learn some manners enjoy some yummy food and treats and have a waiting list a mile long when they are ready to retire in a year or two. The lady wanted to bring one of the cat’s home just because he was so awesome but even though she works at home she could never provide the type of attention these cats were receiving. Plus the crate that is usually in my boot was taken out so that the Two Little Cavaliers could use it in the BlogPaws Conference office to rest so I couldn’t exactly bring home any extra animal passengers.
After a lot of learning and picture taking and hanging out with some old friends like Melissa, Lisa, and Dr. Tiffany from MARS Petcare my owner was unceremoniously tossed my keys and told to drive back in traffic to the hotel. Anyone that knows my owner knows she hates traffic but she made it back to the hotel eventually went to find the Two Little Cavaliers who had made a bunch of new friends throughout the day and head over to the Pet360Media / BlogPaws Ice Cream Man Party. That is one job as a Mini Cooper I probably wouldn’t excel at though with a Sunroof I probably could have a white paint job and do a pretty good imitation of one.
Keep on Motoring on,
The Red and Black Mini Cooper
