For Cavalier King Charles Spaniels when it comes to finding healthy dogs to become members of your family it all starts with Genetics. Properly bred and genetically tested parents can lead to years and years of love from your new puppy. Finding a puppy from a breeder that cares about heart and brain health of their dogs is the first step but having healthy dogs does not stop there. I count myself lucky to know that even before Davinia and Indiana were born someone was looking out for their health because that is not true of all dogs.That doesn’t mean that you should give up and stop trying. You can take steps to ensure your dogs are as healthy as possible.
