Real Life Stories Of Overweight Dogs and Cats #HillsPet

Historically, the first thing a veterinarian would recommend if an overweight dog or cat came in for an appointment would be to reduce the amount of food they receive and increase their activity level . We all know that behavior change is hard for us when we understand why we need to make the change. How much more difficult it must be for your overweight dog or cat to understand. No matter how much we’d like to go on more walks or play more with our pet, its hard to not only find the time but change our own routine. You also don’t want to deprive your pet, we love our buddies!

Neither Davinia nor Indiana are overweight and so we cannot share our own testimonial with you. We therefore have to rely on the next best thing. The testimonial of someone we know that has been using the food on their own pet. That person is River Front Cats down in sunny Miami, Florida. Christine’s cat Johnny Walker is a Black Cat that was dumped on the streets of Downtown Miami. While out feeding some feral and street cats Johnny Walker walked right up to Christine jumped in her arms and nuzzled his way into her heart.

When Mr. Johnny Walker started on Hill’s Metabolic he weighed in at 12lbs which the vet said was just too much for a cat like him. 12 lbs might not seem like a lot but when you should weigh 10lbs that is a lot of extra weight to be carrying around and no wonder that when he walked you could see his belly flop side to side. Johnny Walker has been on Hill’s Metabolic Advanced Weight Solution for several months now. His stomach is a little less flabby and his diamond collar seems to be a bit lose. For more on Johnny Walker’s journey visit his cat weight-loss story.

Special thank you to cat weight-loss story for the use of Johnny Walkers pictures as well as Aimee and Chuy for the use of the picture of Chuy visiting the vet. 1. great post, its hard to get a pet to lose weight,Speedy is on a diet, but with rabbits it is even harder as they have to eat to wear their theeth down plus they have a fast metabolic rate so if the balence of food intake isn’t enough they can get all sorts of problems, very tricky and has to be done slowly,xx
