Dr. Seuss Snack One Fish Two Fish Cupcakes

Supplies needed:
Boxed cupcake mix
Vanilla frosting
Food coloring (optional)
Assorted gummy fish

Directions for your Dr. Seuss Snack – One Fish Two Fish Cupcakes:
1. Begin by preparing your cupcakes according to box directions. You can use any flavor or recipe you choose, since the main focus of this snack is the decorating you are going to be doing on the top of the cupcake.
2. Top your cooled cupcake with white frosting. If you wish, you can add a drop or two of blue food coloring to the frosting to create a water or fishbowl effect. The choice is all yours.
3. Allow children to take assorted gummy fish and top their cupcake. They can add one fish then two fish, they can add red fish and blue fish, or they can just create any assortment of numbers and colors of fish they want.

Your final product will be a fishy and festive cupcake that has all sorts of character. Children will love digging into their cupcakes when they are done and enjoying the gummy fish on top.

Brigades of therapy dogs will be hitting the road Friday February 28th with their owners to visit schools and Children’s Hospitals across the country to read Dr. Seuss Books. To partake in the Dr. Seuss gun carefree spirit we decided to share some fun things you can do at home with your little ones.
