Soldier adopts Army Sniffer Dog / Pet Bloggers Blog Hop

Soldier adopts Army sniffer dog

Jake is a Springer Spaniel but unlike the Springer Spaniel you might have met at the dog park. Jake was a member of the British Armed Forces. He had one of the most dangerous jobs in the world at a time tht the location where he was stationed was one of the most dangerous in the world. Jake is a former bomb sniffing dog. As an army sniffer dog he spent his days patrolling the badlands of Afghanistan with a bomb disposal team, seeking out explosive devices. Jake along with his handler would sniff for bombs 10 hours of every day.

Jake is now retired and lives with his last handler and his family. He loves dinnertime, watching tv, keeping an eye on his garden, and going on walks. His walks aren’t as long as they used to be and he prefers his time inside resting now. But he is as loyal as ever and will spend the rest of his life being loved and cared for.
