How to Find a Pet Friendly Carpet Cleaning Service

How to Find a Pet Friendly Carpet Cleaning Service

Choosing the best service for carpet cleaning is the only answer answer for getting rid of grime, mud, dust and pollinates. Pet Friendly Carpet Cleaning is something that is a must when you have your carpets deep cleaned at least once per year. Having someone come in and deep clean your carpets so that you and your pet stay healthy is the only way to ensure all of the stuff that has been building up in your carpets has been cleared away. Household carpet cleaners even the ones that take the pee pee stain out of carpets cannot get down deep in the carpet fibers like a professional. Professionals have equipment that allows them to not only get the cleaning solution all the way into your carpet but pull out all of that nasty stuff you want out of your carpet and your home.

When deciding on which Pet Friendly Carpet Cleaning Service to pick ask family, friends and neighbors who they use and if they like the service they offer. You can also check your mailbox. You will find carpet cleaning services advertised in local mailers as well. Carpet cleaning is something you don’t want to take chances with you want to go with a service that has the heavy powered machine that get the job done right. Check with the Better Business Bureau for any complaints against the recommended names. As with all things in life just because one person likes or dislikes a specific company does not mean everyone does check online for reviews to see what others had to say. If there are any complaints, be sure these complaints were taken care of in a timely manner.

Ask what kinds of chemicals are used in the carpet cleaning process. There are some chemicals that are harmful to those who have allergies, those who have kids and those who have pets. As a pet owner and someone that is sensitive to chemicals that any chemical used to clean my home is as mild as possible and will not harm me or the dogs. I would rather have dirty carpet then use a company that has harsh chemicals in their cleaning process. Some companies now are using green products that are environmentally friendly to reduce the risk of exposure to harsh chemicals. The last carpet cleaning company I used offered an orange based cleaner that was supposed to be safe for me to not only walk on right away but for little dogs that are close to the ground and will put their noses right into the carpet.

Use a company that utilizes state of the art equipment it means that they care about their business and replace their equipment on a regular basis so that they don’t spread bacteria and other nasty things from home to home. You don’t want a company that uses equipment that looks like it came from the stone ages it likely is not cleaned regularly and can spread things you as a pet owner would not want in your home. You want a company that takes the time to learn about the latest in cleaning and the products they can use to clean with. Likely a company that stays current will also be using pet friendly cleaning products because they know pets are part of the family and their customers want to know that they pets will not be harmed. They want you happy so that you will refer them to your friends whether your friend has pets or a new baby in the house.

Honestly though the best solution to dirty carpet that traps pet hair, dander, dirt, smells, stains, bacteria, and whatever else lives in there including being a breeding ground for fleas is to rip out the carpet. Tile, hardwood, laminate, even vinyl keep your house cleaner and your pets healthier. Plus fleas and ticks have no where to hide in a home with no carpet.

  1. I agree with your last statement about ripping it out! Carpet is so icky. Right now we are renting, but when we have our own home we will for sure stick to laminates or hard surfaces!

  4. Here in Minnesota we use Zerorez – they are chemical free, reasonably priced, and they do a great job. Yes, tile, hardwood, etc are much easier and “cleaner”, but there is something about carpet in some rooms that is just nice, especially in a climate where it gets really cold for many months in the year. Laminate is not the best for many dogs because it is so slippery. We find hardwood, vinyl or tile to be best. In Germany we had heated tile floors, they were great!

  10. Pet Friendly Carpet Cleaning Service to pick ask family, friends and neighbors

  11. I agree with you that a person looking to their carpets cleaned should “shop around” just like you would for any other purchase/investment. I am an owner of a carpet cleaning company, and I take customer testimonials/reviews very seriously. In addition to reading reviews, I would also encourage someone to call and ask questions about what you are most concerned about.

  12. I recently used the services of this cleaning company and I am cery pleased with resutls. My carpet looks brand new! And their cleaners are entirely enviromentally friendly! Check them out here:

  14. I had my carpets cleaned in july 2014, 4 days later 2 of my previously healthy cats died of kidney and liver failure. The tech told me that he sprayed the worse areas extra good and gave me a drying time of 2 hours. I have done a lot of research on chemicals used in carpet cleaning and the results are eye-opening. The tech was certainly negligent in how he sprayed the products and not providing a correct drying time. I have been completely devastated. The cleaning company has been adversarial from the beginning. Also, I will mention that the tech did make a pass at me when I went to pay. The cleaning company refuses to address that saying i have the burden of proof. What? I didn’t record what I didn’t know what going to happen. Now I’m working my way through an insurance claim. Who knows how this will turn out? I will probably be the loser again. Buy wood floors!!!

  15. The best in Green, Chemical Free Process

  16. I really appreciate the advice in asking about the different carpet cleaning agents. It never occurred to me that carpet cleaning companies might use different chemicals. That seems strange to me that specific cleaning agents aren’t an industry standard.

  17. Hey, there. Yes, tile, hardwood, etc are much easier and “cleaner”, but there is something about carpet in some rooms that is just nice, especially in a climate where it gets really cold for many months in the year. Cheers, Jemma!

  19. Steam cleaning carpets or rugs is a must! Especially since I have two cats, a dog and a toddler. I move sofas and chairs slightly to put the legs of furniture on wax paper. Thus the carpet and the furniture are protected. I also open the windows to quicken the drying process. I also shake my welcome mats really good and clean them so people don’t track pollen and other allergens inside. But it’s amazing how dirty the flat can get!

    Thanks!

  21. I like your advice to look for carpet cleaners that use up-to-date technology. As you said, older equipment can actually spread bacteria from another home, which is the opposite of what you want. Plus, up-to-date cleaning equipment is probably going to be better and more efficient than older equipment, and shows the company’s dedication to being competitive in their business. Overall, you bring up some great points in this article. Thanks for all your advice; with your help, I hope that I can find a carpet cleaner that cares about their work and about my family and pets.

  22. If you’re about to be exploitation cleaners around your house you’ll moreover use inexperienced cleaners. You don’t understand what you’re euphoric and touching after you use different harsh cleaners.

  23. Thanks for providing this post. I feel it’s very important to use safe cleaning products when there are pets in the house, since they come in constant contact with the carpet and they tend to lick their paws.

  24. Hi Felissa, great post, you’re absolutely right the maintenence of carpets and rugs can really affect the health of pets, and looking at your two I can see why you want to keep them safe and happy! Keep up the great posts =)

  25. Great
