As a Dog Blogger I get asked all the time how people can help their local Animal Shelter or Humane Society and I tell them about the different things they can do like volunteer their time to play with the animals or take a day to walk the dogs. If they don’t have extra time in their week I suggest that they call the shelter and find out what brand of food they prefer to feed their dogs and to pick up an extra bag to drop off for the dogs there. I share lists of items that animal shelters and humane societies love to receive both for the animals and their administrative needs.
