If I Should Die Before My Dog

“An important book with a PURPOSE”

If I Should Die Before My Dog

A book with a purpose, possibly THE most important book you could ever own, and it isn’t just for you it’s also for those best friends and companions that share your life. Your dogs. The intent for this book is to create an organized plan. This plan allows you to have a complete, in-depth journal of your dogs life. This book gives you all the tools you need to make a detailed description of your dogs life and history; from favorite foods and snacks, travel, medical, games they love to play, to things that scare them and much, much more.

This book is INTERACTIVE, meaning only YOU can tell the “story” of your dog. It must be written into and physically stays with your dog, if in the unfortunate event you can no longer care for your companion.

Most of us can say that we have seen or heard of cases where dogs sadly had to be given up to rescues, their owners passed, or for those other things that happen in life. Hospitalization, vacations, pet sitters, job losses and so on.

We don’t know how it is where you live, but with the recent housing crisis our shelters are overflowing with pets that their owners couldn’t keep after losing their homes. Those that could move in with relatives or into apartments couldn’t always take their pets with them. Thus another of the reasons for writing this book. We want to help dogs everywhere, but we realized that one couple, one person could not physically or financially accomplish this. So we wrote “If I Should Die Before My Dog” in the hopes of reaching as many as we possibly could.

A thought many of us have, “most likely I’m going to outlive my dog” ——–AND you didn’t, BUT your dog had this book, which greatly helps their new parent with the transition of your dog into their new life without you. Can you imagine how great it would be for your dog if their new parent knew your dogs likes, dislikes, personality and everything about them?

On a lighter note, we’re “accidental authors” from the idea, to Joe sitting in Wal-Mart parking lot with the job of coming up with possible titles, he filled out five—yes five pages of “titles” for to chose from, while I did the shopping. “If I Should Die Before My Dog ” is from the children’s bedtime prayer converted to a prayer to take care of our dogs.

Our prayer is for the welfare of all pets.

If you are with your dogs throughout their entire life, you can always appreciate the special keepsake of the written “story” of your dogs life.

We would like to say a special thank you to everyone following our book tour and you enjoy it as much as we do.

Joe and Cathy Connolly

A Dog Lovers lasting guide…….An beautifully illustrated interactive book that one fills in all of the information about their
dogs life in the event they can no longer care for them to help ensure your pets are taken care of.

A thought provoking check list for dog lovers, who unfortunately and with much sadness can no longer take care of their dog.

This book will assist those who want to prepare for their dogs future in an easy to use format that will guide them through the process of telling the “story” of their dogs life, for their pets “Next Guardian”.

None of us can predict the future, but in the event situations arise such as death, health impairment or left with no other choice but to give them up, this book will be there to assist your beloved pet with the transition from one home to another.
