A Moment of Silence for Sandy Hook Elementary

Today at 9:30am Eastern Standard Time we will be observing A Moment of Silence for Sandy Hook Elementary as well as a Social Media Blackout for #momentforSandyHook

Please join us in remembering the children and teachers that were killed as well as those who survived whose lives will never be the same.

Sandy Hook Elementary School Students will not be returning to their old school when the 2013 school year starts after what was supposed to be their winter break. They will be taking over an unused building and while their desks, supplies, and books will be sent over to the new school before it opens they will not be taking any of the old decorations from the school with them. The PTA has decided that they would like to decorate the walls of the school with snowflakes symbolizing serenity, peace, tranquility, and a fresh start for these children and their teachers. They are asking those who would like to send their love to the school to make and send beautiful snowflakes that they will use to decorate the building. To get you started here are a bunch of snowflake patterns you can print out cut and decorate (remember they are asking that there not be any words on the snowflakes.) http://www.marcels-kid-crafts.com/snowflake-pattern.html

  1. God bless the families that lost a loved one, not only from Sandy Hook but for all who have lost a loved one this year and will be without them during the holidays.
