Dora the cat on rocks

Dora the Explorer is my parent’s cat. They sort of inherited her after she had made her rounds getting to know all of the people who live in my parent’s community. She is now an indoor outdoor cat. When she is outside and not off on an adventure she is watching over her garden. She is really protective of her Garden and she only likes it when her daddy is working in it. No one else is allowed to visit if she is around because she will hiss and spit at you. I thought it would be fun to do a regular post called Dora’s Garden. We hope you enjoy the pictures of the flowers that are growing in Dora’s Garden

Field of Pink Flowers

There were a ton of flowers in bloom in Dora’s Garden during our most recent trip. Problem is I forgot to charge the battery in my camera and it completely died on me before I could take pictures of all of the flowers.

Tropical Flowers

It is a good thing I took pictures the day I did because after that it was pouring rain and it bent a lot of the flowers down and made some loose their petals. Dora was really upset with the rain. She doesn’t like being inside during the day but she took it as a personal affront that the rain came and was messing with her garden.

Tiny Purple Flowers

The bees in her garden are HUGE. Before moving up to Georgia I have never seen such large bees in my entire life. I don’t think that bees hibernate for the winter but these bees were certainly ready to spend a winter not doing much eating. They were even bigger then normal. So much so that many of the flowers they landed on couldn’t hold their weight and they bent from the weight of the bees!
