Please help Cole grant his last wish for Bingo who is his Hearing/ Service Dog. Bingo is dying and Cole wants more then anything to grant Bingo’s last wish…dog treats from around the world! Bingo is a Jack Russell service dog, trained to alert people when Cole needs help. In the first 6 months they were together Bingo saved Cole’s life 3 times. A constant companion, Bingo has given Cole freedom and safety, devotion, and friendship. Bingo was retired as a Service Dog in Aug. 2010 when Cole was better able to control his apnea on his own and when he stopped breathing was able to control the episodes on his own. Which means that Cole no longer requires a Service Dog to alert his family or other adults that he has stopped breathing.
National Service Dogs, which normally trains larger dogs to help kids with autism, heard about Cole’s situation when he was younger and realized a smaller dog was what Cole needed to best fit his need, the organization’s co-founder trained her own Jack Russell terrier to become Cole’s Service dog to recognize the distinct gagging sound that Cole makes when he stops breathing, and then bark to alert his parents or caregivers.
Bingo the service dog is not new to fame and spotlight she was inducted into the Purina Animal Hall of Fame in 2010 for saving Cole’s life so many times when they were both younger.
Bingo has now been diagnosed with Canine Cognitive Dysfunction Syndrome (CCDS), seizures, and arthritis he on medication and doing well but at 13 years old the veterinarian does not know just how much longer Bingo will be with Cole. As a way to thank Bingo for saving his life numerous times over the year Cole wants to thank his friend and see her through in comfort and style. So Cole decided to write – a Lick It List That’s a Bucket List for Dogs) – of the things he wants to do with his friend while there is still time. He wants to take Bingo on a global culinary adventure. Cole is asking for help from people around the world since he and Bingo cannot travel to world to seek out new dog foods and treats! They are asking for a sample of your favourite dog treat. Or a dog treat that is exotic and especially foreign to Canada. PLEASE DON`T SEND ANY MONEY to the family they do not want any or need any for Bingo’s care!!! Please ONLY send DOG TREATS no toys or special gift for Cole! Cole and his twin Eric having the job of opening the packages for Bingo and Eric gets to put the stamp(s) in a book to save while COle gives the treats to Bingo. Please respect the families wish and only send dog food /treats.
They say that your dog treat package will be eaten by Bingo the retired service dog. What Bingo doesn’t get around to eating if the rainbow bridge calls him will be donated to a local shelter so that the dogs there will get something special.
