Family Services Worker Let Go After Starved Dogs Found in His Care / Pet Bloggers Blog Hop

starved dogs

Veterinarians say it’s one of the worst cases they have ever seen, a pack of dogs so starved and mistreated that animal control staff broke down in tears at the sight of them. Their owner, a city worker in the Family Services Department, admitted to starving the dogs saying he couldn’t afford to feed them he signed over custody on all three dogs immediately. However information was obtained that this is not the first time starved dogs have been found in his care so one has to think what sort of Family Services worker he could have been and what sorts of abuses he was letting slide if he was doing this in his own home.

Starved doesn’t even begin to describe what’s happened to these dogs. There is not a bone in Cesar’s body you cannot see; his ribs, hips, and spine protrude from his skin. The same goes for his two friends, Rockstar and Baby Bop. All three dogs are about half the weight they should be. In addition to being starved, these dogs have several other problems. Their ears have been cropped and are full of ticks, they also have mange and their nails are overgrown. It’s fair to say the dogs are in a lot of pain in a lot of different places. Animal Control want to make sure the dogs have eaten and been re hydrated for a few days before they bath them and start them on any sort of medication so as not to over stress their bodies.

Charges will be filed against the owner of these dogs but the investigation is ongoing at this time as they want to go through the entire history on the household first.
