Missing Dog Guards Abandoned Baby

A search party had been convened Ghana West Africa to look for a farmers missing dog, after the dog’s owner got concerned that her pet hadn’t returned home in the evening like normal. Searchers spent most of the night tracking the dog through nearby fields and woods. They eventually found the missing dog under the bridge near the farm he calls home. The search party was quite shocked when they saw the dog was curled around a human infant keeping it warm and safe.



The infant’s umbilical cord had not been cut, and had gotten infected, but the baby was otherwise healthy. The health department in the small town in Ghana has made sure that the baby has now received all necessary vaccinations and are looking for a new home for the infant that do not include living out in the open only protected by a dog. Health officials have said that the once missing farm dog is a hero for finding the baby and staying with him until help arrived.
