A Southern California teenager has been charged with animal abuse after injuring back in February. Valentine the puppy was found on Feb. 10 in a rural area of Lucerne Valley, limping and with with black plastic tape wrapped around her muzzle. She was found near the train tracks with a partially severed paw, a broken paw, a fractured skull and burns. The puppy a 10 month old Pitt Bull and is currently being treated for its injuries and when they are healed and the puppy ready for a new home it will be adopted out.
San Bernardino County has charged the 17-year-old with two felony counts of animal cruelty and arson. Sheriff’s spokeswoman said earlier today that the boy is in custody at the Apple Valley Juvenile Detention Center after being arrested on March 16th.
