Each year 5 dogs from each breed are invited to attend Westminster. These are the dogs that have routinely won shows throughout the year and won big bringing them to the top of their respective breed lists. These are dogs that should absolutely be the ones you watch for when it comes time for the Group Ring on Monday and Tuesday night. Other then Cavalier King Charles Spaniels I am going to choose random breeds to share with you throughout the day today.
Miles actually won the breed at Westminster 2011 making it to the group Ring. If you watched last year this is the happy face you saw representing all of the Cavaliers.

Last year this sweet baby took home an award of Merit at Westminster. It is one of the highest honors a dog can receive in the breed ring at Westminster as only Best of Breed and Best of Opposite are officially named. The judge then at his or her discretion can hand out awards to other dogs who he / she feels were superior examples of the breed.
This is one handsome boy. I love Tri-Colors they are my someday dog.
This dog has some big time winners both here in the US and in the UK behind it. Certainly one to watch for.
Known as Tom Tom around his house he is another handsome boy with huge potential to be the top of the top this year.
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed ring is always full to the overflowing point with beautiful representations of the breed. It is an honor for most breeder / owner / handlers to even step on the carpet at Westminster often times the icing on top of a fantastic career for their dog. To get picked at the first cut is an unbelievable achievement. Many of the dogs entered have an excellent chance of catching the judges eye and being chosen as Best of Breed and going on to compete in the Group Ring. Good luck to everyone who entered.
they are beautiful
