Pinterest Tuesday I Have an Idea

Yesterday I wrote a post about Invisible dogs and how they need our help to become visible to the general public so the idea sort of stuck in my head all day thinking about what I could do to help make these dogs more visible to those who might be interested in adding a new family member but don’t really know all of their options. Fast forward to last night when I was playing on Pinterest and the idea came to me. How easy would it be for us to maybe once  a day to pin a dog or cat or any other animal awaiting a forever home onto our boards on Pinterest. People love repinning cute animals and it would help get these invisible dogs in front of those who wouldn’t normally see them. I am not asking you to pin hundreds of dogs a day or week but each pin helps get their story out there and is super simple to do.

Would you be willing to join us in helping get these waiting babies out into the public eye?

  1. I LOVE this idea! I know my local shelter would love this and will pass this onto the PR person.

  2. That’s a fine idea…I’d help if you give me some clues as to how to go about it…I am on pinterest already butnot real familiar with it…btw are you in Florida…that palm tree looks familiar 🙂

    • We are in Miami!
Pinning items is super easy. Just go to Petfinder or the shelter’s page find the animal you would like to pin and then you should have installed a toolbar from pinterest at the top of your screen. Its a little white avatar with the words Pin It. Click Pin it and choose the picture you would like to pin most likely a bunch will come up choose the one you want and then add it to the appropriate board. You can say something about how the dog is waiting to be adopted or tell people to click to the picture to find out more about the dog looking for a forever home.

      Hope that helps.
