Black Dogs and Cats Get Special Adoption Event

Find your perfect dog or cat during the Best Friends Animal Society Back in Black National Adoption Event!

Right now, thousands of wonderful black dog, cat, rabbits, and ferrets are waiting for adoption at shelters and rescue groups nationwide. Black dogs and cats are often overlooked for adoption. To help them find good homes, participating animal shelters and rescue groups are offering 50% off the adoption fee for all black animals during the “Back in Black” adoption promotion from August 15-September 17, 2011.  Look for a participating No More Homeless Pets® Network Partner in your area. Many groups adopt out of state and have a ♥ next to their name.

  1. Great post, Felissa. I always knew about black cats having a harder time being adopted, but never about black dogs. I’m so glad for this special event to increase their chances of finding the loving forever homes they deserve! 🙂
