Bear the dog credited with saving his owner's life
Bear is still just a puppy at 160 lbs but that doesn’t mean he couldn’t sense his owner’s fear when a tornado came through their town.His owner was home alone with him when the warning came before last week’s tornado. To protect his owner Bear laid down on top of her as the tornado destroyed their home. Gary Sneed credits Bear with saving his wife Leanne’s life by laying down on top of her while the house around them was being destroyed.

I got my first Saint Bernard pup during a tornado! She was only a couple months old and no where near even 60 pounds but she was very protective of me.
I have an Italian Mastiff, an ancestor of the Saint Bernard. I know she would do her best to save us.
